With her role at CopyWrite, Lexi has built a creative network that not only showcases the creative community but serves as advocates and mentors for young writers, designers, and creatives. “This series was a nod to an era that gave me inspiration during a time when artistically I didn’t feel inspired by anything. I saw an image by photographer Colin Jones from his “The black house” project from the 1970’s it was of 2 black men standing in front of a wall with some graffiti with their Afros and bell bottoms and it sparked something in me. I started gathering more images from that era and fell more in love with how carefree the men were when it came to fashion and how they’re swag oozed through the images still all these years later. I wanted to recreate that in a way.” @nyasiasylvester “Can ya dig it?” series, Queens NY ✨
